GLOBAL PATHWAY UNIVERSITY EDITION
Give tomorrow's pastors and leaders the leading edge in reaching the global harvest.
Whether in a Bachelor of Arts-level program, or a Master's-level degree program in Ministerial Leadership, one key missing ingredient is often a practical, executable framework for missions in the local church. The Global Pathway University Edition seeks to provide a solid, collegiate-level choice for Bible schools, colleges, and universities, filling the "praxis gap" between theology of missions to missions in action. The University Edition serves as an excellent follow-up course to "Theology of Missions", and fits into the course structure for many programs, such as:
- Associates of Ministerial Leadership
- Third-Year Concentration in Global Studies
- Bachelors of Arts in Ministerial Leadership
- Bachelors of Arts in Missions
- Master's of Arts in Practical Theology
The Global Pathway University Edition TRAINER'S KIT can be divided into SIX main content areas. Each topic builds upon previous learning, and prepares students to implement a strong missions emphasis in their church or ministry. Designed as a full package for instructing the Global Pathway materials, the University Edition utilizes the Student Manual (sold separately), includes course videos from Dr. Jerry Williamson, and contains sample tests, projects, and course syllabus.
KINGDOM CHRISTIANITY & THE GREAT COMMISSION MANDATE
Confronting the tendency to see a myopic vision of ministry, this foundational course content forcuses on the idea of kingdom. Kingdom expansion is our mission and the church is God’s primary instrument to carry out that mission. Before our individual churches can flourish, we must grasp the concept of kingdom advancement.
EMPOWER THE PASTOR
To provide good leadership to any function in the church (including the area of missions), the pastor must be able to demonstrate competency, confidence, and commitment to the purpose of the church--God's global mission. This insightful module includes "Ten Facts Every Pastor Should Know" about God's unique vision for the each local church.
ENVISION THE CORE
There is always a special group of people in every church that the pastor greatly depends on to help him promote buy-in, and move the congregation forward in what he or she believes is the mission of that local church--this is the "Core". Envisioning this group of stake-holders will prepare the way for the rest of the church to take action in the area of global missions.
ESTABLISH THE PLAN
Establishing the plan enables your congregation to rally around a clarified strategy that will help your church maximize its potential in the global harvest. This involves not only the "Core", but also the formation of the Missions Advancement Team--a key group who will play a major role in implementing the pastor's God-given vision.
LAUNCH THE CONGREGATION
Seeing the entire church become a Great Commission church takes the concerted efforts of each and every believer, department, and ministry of the local church. The "Launching the Congregation" module also gives practical steps in the creation of an economic engine within your church as everyone sees their role as either a sender or a sent one.
